In this SHIFT Summit 2025 interview, Lars Mährholz traces his path from entrepreneur and skydiver to the initiator of the peace vigils and later to Realitätsdesign and public speaking. He describes 2014 as a turning point in his political interest and recalls the movement’s rapid networking. Alongside criticism of the media, he discusses personal support, self-respect and differences of opinion. He also acknowledges limitations in his approach: he initially organised like a businessman and underestimated conflicts within a social movement.
