On the move · 2011 to the present

Europe: coasts, cities and drop zones.

Some journeys revolve around sport, others around people or a fresh view of everyday life. My European entries range from a Barcelona rooftop to a bonfire after a skydiving day in Norway.

Barcelona and Amsterdam.

A pool party on the tenth floor above Barcelona’s rooftops: my June 2011 post recalls that moment. In September 2016 I travel through Amsterdam with the peace bus. My photographs from 4 September show the canals and the city.

To Sweden by car ferry.

In April 2015 I write from Rostock harbour about my first car-ferry journey to Sweden. Subsequent entries lead to Stockholm, Bodyflight Sweden and Linköping, with landscape and museum photographs from the same period.

Rømø and Sylt.

In August 2016, photographs show a vehicle on Rømø’s beach and the vehicle-train journey towards Sylt. My posts describe being on the move and enjoying travelling again after a longer period at home. A more extensive southbound journey was a plan at that point.

Sport connects places.

Prostějov with JUMP-TANDEM, Skydive Luzern and Voss in Norway belong to the sporting archive. The June 2022 Voss post describes a bonfire after a skydiving day. Wind tunnels such as FlyStation Munich, Hurricane Factory Berlin and Windoor add further stops.
